1. Introduction

HerePicks is committed to protecting your personal data, in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for EU residents, the GDPR.

2. Data collected

• Owner accounts: email, first name, last name, password stored encrypted (hashed).
• Properties and guides: property name and address, logo, colors, published recommendations (places, descriptions, photos).
• Visitors to public guides: no account required, no individual tracking, no advertising cookies or third-party trackers.
• Anonymous statistics: guide view counts, clicks on directions, a phone number or a website, recorded with no identifier linking these events to a specific person.

3. Use of data

Your data is used solely to manage your account, your properties and your guides, to bill paid plans, and to improve the service.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your data. It may be shared with our technical providers (hosting: Cloudflare; payment: Stripe; sending technical emails: Resend; visit statistics: PostHog) only to the extent needed to operate the service, or where required by law.

5. Security

Encrypted connection (HTTPS), hashed passwords, restricted access to account data.

6. Retention

Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is deleted or anonymized, except where retention is legally required.

7. Your rights

Under the FADP and the GDPR: right of access, rectification and deletion. Rectification (profile, password) is done from your account settings; to access or delete your data, contact us.

8. Cookies

No advertising cookies or third-party trackers. The technical cookies used are strictly necessary for the site to function (session, language preference).

9. Changes

This policy may evolve; any significant change will be communicated to users with an account.
