Airbnb and short-term rentals
The digital guidebook for your Airbnb
Airbnb guests often arrive on their own, sometimes late, and leave without ever meeting you. HerePicks gives them your favourite local spots as an online guide: a link to drop into your welcome message, and a QR code inside the flat. One guide, always up to date.
When you're not there to give advice
In a hotel, guests ask at the front desk. In a rental, "any good restaurant nearby?" arrives as a message, usually while you're busy with something else. And your answer ends up buried in the conversation, impossible to find two days later.
An online guide solves both problems: you write your tips once, and guests find them when they need them, out in the street, on their phone.
A link before arrival, a QR code on site
Every HerePicks guide has an address that never changes. Paste it into the message you send after booking, into your saved replies, or into the paper welcome book you already have.
On site, a QR code does the same job. HerePicks prepares print-ready materials: an A5 card, a folded A4 table tent that stands on its own, an A4 card and a round sticker for a mirror or a worktop.
Your advice, not a directory
For every place you can add a line of your own: "ask for a table in the courtyard", "go before 9 on Saturdays". It's highlighted on the place's page, and it's what makes your guide different from a map search.
The rest is filled in for you: search for a place by name, and HerePicks completes the address, works out the walking and driving time from your flat, and suggests a photo. One tap on "Directions" opens Google Maps or Apple Maps.
Which places to pick, and how to present them? The page on local recommendations shows what a place card contains.
Guests from all over the world
The guide interface appears in English, French, German or Italian depending on the phone's language, and your text is translated automatically into all four. Guests can also switch language themselves.
What does it cost for a rental?
The Discovery plan is free: one property, up to 10 recommendations, with a "Made with HerePicks" mention at the bottom of the guide. The Host plan removes the limit and the mention, and adds your logo, your colours and viewing statistics. If you rent out several properties, the Pro plan covers up to five. See the pricing page.
Frequently asked questions
Can I put my guide's link in my Airbnb listing?
Airbnb restricts external links in listings, so check its current rules. The safest option is to send the link in your welcome message once the booking is confirmed, and to mention in the listing that a guide to your favourite places awaits guests.
Do guests need to install an app?
No. They scan the QR code or tap the link, and the guide opens in their browser. No account is required.
What happens if a restaurant closes?
You remove or hide it from your phone, and it's live immediately. The link and QR code don't change.
Does the guide also work for Booking.com or direct bookings?
Yes. The guide isn't tied to any platform: the same link works however the guest booked. See also the holiday rental welcome book.
Can I see whether guests use it?
On the Host plan you can see how often the guide is opened, which places are viewed and how many directions are started. These statistics are anonymous.
